BALTIMORE, (18-29)....................................................................................BOSTON, (29-14)
BALTIMORE:
KEVIN GAUSMAN, RHP, 3-2, 3.18 ERA, 42K
The Orioles righty will get an extra day for the second time in as many starts since
tossing a complete game in Oakland. Gausman surrendered a career-high in hits
against the Rays over the weekend, but he never gave in and was able to pick up the
win.
BOSTON:
DAVID PRICE, LHP, 3-4, 4.89 ERA, 38K
The lefty was strong in his return after missing one start due to carpel tunnel syndrome.
Facing the Blue Jays, Price allowed five hits and a run over 5 1/3 innings and struck out
six to earn the win.

What'd I tell you, what'd I tell all of you??????? There is Bradley once again in that damn lineup after only two more days on the pine. Really, is anyone surprised? Poor Blake Swihart needs to beg to get more than one start a week (and never does) but this bum keeps getting chance after chance after chance. I've also said this.....that this will keep up again and again until that bum is traded, released, DFA's or kidnapped by green cheese men from the Moon. Absolutely sickening. Don't think I'll even watch the game tonight; I am so pissed off.
Like Fred said, and about those that defy logic and prove the definition of 'insanity' time and again.

B I N G O dat !!! rofl rofl
Price is being very efficient tonight. 54 pitches through 5 innings. Maybe he can go CG?
Xander with another 3-run monster blast. Sox up 6-0.

About time we had a pitcher not throwing 90 pitches through 5 innings. Hopefully he can keep it up.
62 thru 6. Getting close to 10/inning.
71 thru 7. So far, his best outing of the season.
80 pitches through 8 innings. Hard to get much better.
Damn!!! 2 outs in the 9th and Price gives up a 2-run dinger to tarnish the gem he's pitched.
So close. Still a great outing for Price. Best all season, I think.
Pitched an excellent game. Great to see. Hopefully it starts a trend.

Hard to believe, isn't it Sea Dog???? It defies logic. And he keeps getting put in the lineup after a game or two. 0 for 3 tonight....again.... As someone on another board said, Bradley would have to lose a lot of weight to equal is eventual batting average......and the sickening beat goes on. BUT...Price was outstanding tonight, a complete game and two big bombs gave us a good business like win. We needed it and it would be nice to keep playing the kind of ball we played tonight. We need a winning streak and I don't mean a two or three game one.
Great ti see David pitch the way he did tonight. Nice to know we have someone to can go nine. As was mentioned maybe it will start a trend. Martinez and Bogey went deep and it takes a little of the sting away that we had to endure Bradley with another ofer, this time 0 for 3. Seems like we've seen this before,,,,,,way too many times.

JD and Bogey are on fire lately. I'll eat some crow on Price for a game, but he's still not out of my doghouse yet. I'd like to see another solid outing from him. As for Bradley167, we just have to deal....until we don't any more. I can't see him here past the trade deadline barring some miraculous turnaround
30 & 14 ...... As DAD would say..... "SON, not a bad start, worthy of some ice cream on the way home" !!! thumb_u
It was great seeing Price pitch the way we all know he can.
I'm still waiting for his next turn....will he be there for the team?
That's always the question with Price.
As for Bradley, he's hopeless.
And for $6M per year, he should do more than steal a base, no?
>:(
Must admit Price looked great. He was pounding the strike zone. It seemed to me that he didn't throw that many cutters. Machado's 9th inning homer was on a cutter, however.
While I must congratulate Price on this outing, one must remember these are the Orioles who have lost 13 road game in a row. I will be impressed when Price exhibits this kind of confidence against New York. The Orioles appeared to be going through the motions last night.
Price was working fast. If he's not thinking and just pitching he does well. When he worries about what he thinks people in the stands say, or whether a HOFer knows anything about baseball, he sucks, but if he can focus he's the guy he's supposed to be. Get the ball, thrown the next pitch - and throw strikes! Something a lot of guys (like E-Rod who can turn any 0-2 count into a quick BB) could stand to learn. See also Kimbrel and Sale who are trying to get too tricky.
Our offense appears was down to 2 guys, now 3 with Bogey back in swing. I know they don't want to move guys, but Betts and Martinez need to be closer in the lineup. I'd like to see the other guys swinging better again.
JBJ is becoming a waste of a roster spot by his play, Swihart because they dont' want to play him.

Pitchers that work fast, will always have the advantage !! Keeps the hitter off balance! thumb_u

Will they play Bradley again tonight? This soap opera with that guy is getting to be a very sick joke. He actually could be with us all season going through the same routine. Earth to Cora and Dumbo----GET HIS ASS OUT OF HERE AND I MEAN OFF THE TEAM BECAUSE AS LONG AS HE IS HERE YOU GUYS ARE STILL GOING TO THINK HE WILL COME AROUND......HE WON' T!!!!!!!

I trust you're right about Price. I hope he keeps focusing that way.
