RAYS V RED SOX
FRIDAY, APRIL 27, 2018, 7:10 PM AT FENWAY PARK
TV: NESN, FOX SPORTS SUN
TAMPA BAY, (10-13)..............................................................................BOSTON, (19-5)
TAMPA BAY:
BLAKE SNELL, LHP, 3-1, 2.54 ERA, 32K
Snell has been the team's most effective starter this season. He's won his past
three starts and struck out 25 batters during that span. Overall, Snell has fanned 32
in 28 1/3 innings.
BOSTON:
DREW POMERANZ. LHP, 0-0, 7.35 ERA, 7K
The lefty will try to get in a better rhythm than he was in during his first start back
from the disabled list, when he gave up five hits and three runs in 3 2/3 innings against
Oakland while throwing 88 pitches. Pomeranz did strike out seven.

Pom pitching home run derby tonight. Geez.
Return of the Noffense.
Sox catching some breaks here. Need to capitalize.
Of course. Any good threat is killed by a GIDP.
That could have been avoided if JD had been awake enough to take second on that pitch that got misplayed.
Nice DP.
Yet another GIDP. sigh
Thought that Vaz shot was gone.
Mookie finally puts the Sox on the board.
Halfway back in it.
Glad the Rays hit into DPs as much as the Sox.
Very nice play by Xander.
Out of that jam.
Wow, Snell back out at 102 PC?
Or not.
JD with another RBI.
Vaz guns down another base stealer. Sweet.
Nice work, Hembree.
JBJ goes 0-4.
Beni ends it with a K. Although there were some iffy calls there. Still, he should have been swinging at that pitch.
TB playing good ball. 7 in a row for them. Sox struggling at the plate. Xman with a good night back. On to Saturday and a better out come.
BP did well again. This was all on Pomeranz and the lack of offense.

What else is new? I want that bum out of the lineup and gone. He is never going to hit for us and when he has a good day all is does in fool Cora and DD to think that AHHHH he is finally going to get it. HE IS NOT GOING TO GET IT, NOT NOW OR EVER. GET HIS SHITTY ASS OFF THE FIELDS AND OUT OF BOSTON.

Pretty much the story. Snell is good, though. 2nd not-so-pretty start for Pomeranz.
I think Spier was correct when he said Pomerantz really doesn't have his full arm strength back yet.
Why Dombrowski rushed him back is beyond me. He should have had more time rehabbing to get his arm up to par. JBJ may suck at the plate but this loss goes to DD for rushing Pomerantz before he was ready in my book.
Poor decision playing Pomeranz at this time. You'd think we were hard up for SP.

B I N G O dat..... D D should make Pomeranz part of the "package" and move him out, NOW GRASSFOPPER !! thumb_d
It seems like the DL didn`t affect Bogey one bit. At least something was good from last night.
Pomeranz was not good , but the offense gets most of the blame. Four runs should not be insurmountable, especially in Fenway.

Welcome to the BOSOX BOARD, D G H !! thumb_u
And the NYY won late last night. All of a sudden they're 3 GB, and riding a 7 game winning streak. But, that's how it's supposed to go this season, right? Or no nail-biting.....
