RED SOX V RANGERS

SATURDAY, MAY 5, 2018, 8:05 EDT, AT GLOBE LIFE PARK, ARLINGTON

TV:  NESN, FSSW

BOSTON, (23-9)............................................................................................TEXAS, (13-21)

EDUARDO RODRIGUEZ, LHP, 3-0, 4.78 ERA, 29K

The lefty was shaky in his last start, throwing 35 pitches in the first inning and
ultimately giving up five runs over four innings.  This will be the first time Rodriguez
has pitched in Texas since his stellar Major League debut in 2015.

TEXAS:

COLE HAMELS, LHP, 1-4, 4.08 ERA, 47K

Hamels has gotten into a groove, allowing just two runs in each game in three of
his past four starts.  Part of the problem was the long ball; he gave up seven runs
in his first four starts and has only given one in his last three.

1-1 at the moment. Is it just me, or does it seem like Hanley is just jogging to 1st?

E-Rod coughs up a 3-run dinger. Looking bad for the Sox. Down 4-1.

E-Rod gives up another dinger. Now 5-3. Maybe, just maybe, it's time for someone else to be pitching. E-Rod is at 105 pitches. Why does Cora leave him out there with such high PCs?

As usual Hembree is good for one inning only. Why can't any Sox manager learn this lesson?
