Ok, then, I'm puzzled.
If Sales fails to win this game due to non-support,
he will be irate.

What are you puzzled about? Looks like everyone who is healthy is playing. Basically the same players as yesterday except Vaz is catching instead of Leon and Moreland is in instead of Betts who was shook up yesterday.

Bradley at leadoff??????????  The guy can't bunt at all so a drag bunt down the third base line is out unless he shocks us.  He strikes out too much for a lead off man, but maybe he will surprise us with a home run or something solid.  Still, nothing to complain about our team because they are doing it all.  Let's just get Chris some tallies so he doesn't have to beg for support.

Yankees game rained out again. This game should have been postponed as well. I suppose the Marathon tomorrow was a factor in deciding to play in this nastiness.

Beni out at the plate on a close call. If he had tried hitting the plate with his foot he'd been safe easily but they all try that slide away from the plate and touch it with their hand.

Sale has to learn not to throw 90 pitches in 5 innings. 90-95 pitches should get you through at least 7 innings. Overall a good games considering the weather conditions. On to Monday.

True enough. He's not blameless in not getting himself a win today. If he'd have stuck around another inning...

We are getting spoiled by the great play of this gutsy team. I hope we can all put up with a bump in the road that will sometime be coming. Hopefully later than sooner.

The offense was off on both sides between the cold temps and a 19 mph wind blowing in.  Lin hit that one that died in the triangle and there were a couple of other well hit balls that could have carried on a balmier day.

Another win in the books and the Sox have won as many games as they did last April.  Sure there will be a bump in the road but the real question is how big of a bump.  They clearly can't keep winning at this rate, it just doesn't happen in baseball and averages tend to play out, but if they can keep from losing more than a couple in a row then they can keep rolling.  That's 5 series wins so far this year.  We said playing the Yankees and O's would be a test and they've passed that test regardless of tomorrow's outcome.  The upcoming road trip will be an even bigger test.  But even with this record so far, normally we'd be happy with a 5-4 road trip, so if it's good to keep that in mind and not set unreal expectations.

Or we could've just put up 2-3 runs before Cora yanked him.  But, yup, I'll take the W.  Ugly, ugly weather.

My question is how can any team play in such miserable weather?  This is hardly conducive for good baseball no matter how you look at it, and I'm hardly surprised that the Patriot's Day Game was called off tomorrow.  When you take into consideration how so many games were wiped out today and probably more tomorrow I think the owners had better get their crap together and work out something to start the season a little later even if we have to wipe our some off days and or play some double headers to  get the season in before the snows hit later in the year.  I know, i t's all money and profits but the risk is shortening or ruining  the careers of players because of injuries suffered in cold weather and  the ruination of the quality of baseball being played.   The Red Sox and Orioles were playing with handcuffs today.  Fortunately our team played well enough to pull a game out that most likely should never have been played.

The players are to blame for some of this.  They wanted the season to start earlier so they could have more off days later in the season, do they started early and had to cancel half the games.   Now they'll be playing doubleheaders on those offdays.  The Sox have been lucky though without having to miss a game until now.

Not sure what the answer is with this crazy spring we've had, at least in the eastern half of the country.  Between snow and the line of severe storms that passed yesterday there's not a lot you can do.  We had a tree go down in the storms yesterday.

Playing the WS further into November would be the main reason for no latter start.
The blame is on the weatherman mostly.I remember last years Patriots day weened was in the  70 s
