I can't imagine any of us had them 4 games over .500 at the end of April.  Pitching has been amazing, even with 3 out of 5 starters on the IL.  We lost Story and didn't have Devers for a while and they are hitting (although seem to be prone to shutdowns).  The spark provided by guys like Abreu, not to mention Refsnyder and the offensive production they're getting out of the catcher spot. 

Now the question is can they trade Yoshida to fill a real need since he is not needed on this club?  Third biggest salary on the team and he doesn't play.  Every single position player on the 40 man roster is on the 26 man roster.  They still need help.

A nice win tonight.  Good pitching and decent hitting.  Let's hope that leads to another series  win.

I gotta say, I'm somewhat stunned that this team finds ways to win. Certainly the starting pitching is better than expected.

Duran is coming out of his slump last two games.  Good start for him and the top of the lineup.

Cooper at 1B.  Grissom and Yoshida sitting.  O'Neill is DH'ing but you'd think the lefty Yoshida would be in there over Refsnyder.  They seem to be really down on the guy.  Yaz in RF (come on, play him in left!).  I'll bet he'll get a big cheer.  Will Carl throw out the first pitch again?

We might see a new face at 1B tonight.  No doubt Yaz will be out there for SF.

But good series.  I didn't see either of the first two as I was camping but caught most of last night's game including the walk off win.  Now a day off to shuffle some roster moves - see ya Bobby Dalbec.  Plus it looks like they signed a Japanese pitcher who I guess takes Joely Rodtriguez's place.

It looks like Dalbec is going to stick around.  They brought up Garrett Cooper who is a 1B.  That seems redundant with Dalbec on 1B, unless Raffy gets more DH and Dalbec is the 3B.  To make room for Cooper the DFA Pablo Reyes.

My guess is that Grissom is finishing his rehab, and he will be promoted to replace Dalbec and would probably cover the positions played by Reyes.

I think Grissom is supposed to be called up today.  But they also seem to want to have some flexibility at 1B and apparently have nobody else than can play the position.  I was also surprised to see that Casas is on the 60 day IL.  I didn't see that previously.

It looked like Houck was starting to gas out in the eighth so replacing him didn't give me a burn, but it seems that already we get good starting pitcher and our bullpen gives it back or away.  When you get a three run lead in the eighth you hold it come what may.  Still we won the series and I watched it again today since I recorded it yesterday after noon.  As for that long winded interview between the Japanese pitcher and interpreter WHAT THE #$%% WAS THAT?  ESPN made no friends with that debacle during  the game.
