Looks like Sale will only go 6 innings today. 85 pitches through 5 innings. Would need a very low pitch count in the 6th to start the 7th.

Ever since Kelly came out of that 1 game with shortness of breath he hasn't been the same. Might be mechanical but he is all over the place.

About time he started to contribute but truth be told he has been a much better hitter for us the past two or three weeks.  His average is still very low because of his total ineptitude going into July bu he is now making good progress and helping us on the offensive end, and truth also be told, a good team does have some strength at the bottom  third of the order to take the pressure off our key hitters and to put that pressure on the backs of the opposition.  Jackie was real good today and hopefully he will get on a consistent streak and help our hitting attack.  That would certainly help our cause.

The other thing you mentioned about the Mets-Yankees game tonight, do you really believe the Mets are going to win two of three from the Yanks in YS?  It would be real swell if they could bring it off but I know it is a tough thing to do.  I will hope though because it sure would be great picking up a game on the first weekend series back after the ASB.

With 61 games left, you have to believe they're going to get way more than 100 wins. The sad part is, so will the Yanks.

Last year Farrell would have had him go another 2 innings.  I like this approach of keeping him fresher for the end of the season.  Sure hope it works!

Maybe he's been hanging around with Syndegaard and has Hand, Foot and Mouth disease?
