Benny gets a rest but let's hope they don't need him. The guy throwing for Toronto is a kid but has shown well early. Let's hope the Sox dont get lulled by the rookie pitcher looks like Cy Young curse.
& where is BLAKE SWIHART ???? iono iono iono iono rofl rofl
Mookie hits a triple then Holt K's while looking at a pitch right down the middle of the plate. JD gets lucky and brings him home, though.
Porcello is digging himself a hole here in the 2nd. Jays up 2-1.
That was an ugly inning. Jays up 3-1.
Looks like a tough night …… I will retire to the pillow and switch back & forth to the YANK$ till the eyes close for another day !! rofl rofl rofl iono iono iono
Sox get another one back thanks again to Martin not being able to pick a throw out of the dirt.
Mookie with his second triple of the game drives in 2 more. This guy is the majority of the Sox offense lately.
Sox come roaring back with 5 runs. Now 6-3 Sox.
Porcello isn't done giving up runs. Smoak with a solo dinger. 6-4
Porcello just doesn't have it tonight. Looks way off.
This is a pretty wild game so far! Two triples is quite a feat. The record is three, held by a number of guys. But he missed a grand slam by a couple of inches, which also would have been amazing.
Porcello looks like hell. They are definitely limping into the all star break physically but need to keep this tear going.
Porcello is going to blow this game if they don't get him out of there soon.
Good, Velazquez is up in the pen.
Porcello doesn't look well. I wouldn't be surprised.if Porcello isn't under the weather.
Geez. WTF is with Porcello? He's throwing beach balls. Now 6-6.
Love that autocorrect to "bordello"!
It would really stink to give up the lead after that last inning.
Oh well, there it goes.
He's out.
Had a case of Price-itis just after Price himself got over it.
Argh. Pull him now, Cora!!
Fortunately the Yanks are down 4-0, but we of course know how quickly 4 runs can disappear.
AS Eck said it happens to everyone. Good part is it's only a 2 run game and fairly early. Hopefully they get out of this inning with no more runs given up.

Baseball is like fishing, if it doesn't work, try again. The next one may be the big one.
Velaquez is struggling as well. Back to back walks.
Velazquez out of that jam.
One run back, but a blown chance with bases loaded.
More blown chances. Oy.
Running out of time and chances here.
Nice one, Kelly. Nail someone on the first pitch. How you gonna act?
Kelly and Porcello been hitting the sauce lately or what?
Kelly is sometimes too smart for his own good.
This one's over. At least I got my 10-0 run.
Pillar is killing the Sox tonight. 4-5
I figured a 5-2 home stand which would be good. Maybe they can win the next 2 and make it 6-1.
Hate seeing them K looking when they need hits.
Yankees lost at least, so no ground gained for them.
Another HBP. What are they smoking in the bullpen?
Smoak again. This is sad. But I guess they were due for a stinker.

Well we better get stronger pitching than we did tonight and the bottom of the order has to hit better too. It can be done but we have looked ragged the past two games. As you would say--on to tomorrow and let's hope we can start the line moving again in the right direction. Good the Yankees lost so we lost no ground, but I predicted they would win three of four in Cleveland. Jinx me so I am wrong about that.
No winning streak goes on forever. Fine. We were do to lose. But THIS way? I'm kinda pissed to be honest. Porcello pretty much proves what Fred and many of us say he is: a guy who gives up too many hits. I will go as far as saying that with Porcello it's not a case of whether he's "got it or not" on any particular outing but how as opposing hitters you approach him. He's HITTABLE, big time.
And that's my underlying fear come October. We simply CANNOT win 100+ games and then go home in a 5 game series. Porcello and Price are NOT postseason reliables. DD must go find a veritable #2 pitcher who can get it done in the playoffs. Porcello and Price will fold like decks of cards the minute "playoff start" is written in their stat cards.
Off my soapbox rant. Onto the next game.
There are 66 games left to play. If the Sox play just slightly better than .500 ball the rest of the way, which would be a huge reduction, they'll still hit 100 wins. And yet they could still be stuck playing a WC game to get into the post-season.
I have seen enough of ROBBY SCOTT...… Get him out of TOWN, now GRASSHOPPER !!! thumb_d thumb_d iono rofl rofl rofl
I'm not too worried about losing one of the last 11. Looking for them to bounce back today. Clearly something was wrong with Porcello and I'm not sure why Cora didn't want to see that. I'm not ready to write off either Porcello or Price, although I'd take Porcello over Price in a tough situation. I think Porcello is fine, he doesn't get rattled easily and sometimes we think he's going to be a Cy Young winner out of the #3 spot every year. Price is the bigger concern as I don't think he has the mental toughness and lets external factors affect him.
