No JD, Moreland back to the IL. Travis in LF and Leon behind the plate. Vaz as DH and iron glove at 2B. Run prevention not in effect for this game.
This looks more like a spring training lineup. WTH. But injuries have no sympathy on teams.
Chavis AKA the K-MAN batting 2nd does what he does best. Struck out of course.
There goes the game. 3 runs will probably be enough the way the Sox are batting.
Smithy reminds of a righty Erod .2nd inning 43 pitches down 3-0.
No hitting and poor pitching won't cut it against these guys.

Amen.
Manager Neuman gave up on this game when he posted his lineup. Preemptive capitulation, letting this guy to continue to pitch is managerial incompetence
I just don't see how they can go night after night throwing sub-par pitching out there on purpose. It's one thing of Sale, Porcello or Price doesn't have a good outing, but these bullpen starts are basically giving up a game. E-Rod is simply a roll of the dice. Between inadequate talent and pure numbers this is getting ridiculous. Then they didn't address 2B which is still clearly a need, they didn't address the pen, they got giddy and signed Pearce who has given them nothing and now with the "superstars" sulking in their slumps it's going to be tough to win.

I agree to some extent, but who else does he have to put out there? DD has decided that they're going to get by with a couple of MLB pitchers and a slew of minor leaguers.
May as well leave this clown in till his arm falls off . At 57 pitches thru 2 innings that will happen in the 4th at 100
Rays potcher gave up six runs in his last outing vs Twins. l'm thinking with the slumps and holes in our lineup, we won't score until the 4th.

TRUE, Jack BRAD & Sandy LEON are killing us...…. How much longer can we carry their GLOVES ???? iono iono iono iono
Sox lucking out with some TB base running errors.
This Dunkins 10th Player thing is seriously dumb.
Other than not pitching well and not hitting well, the Sox also aren't fielding well, a perfect trifecta. Once again the Sox look entirely inept against a good team.

B I N G O !!!! The SOX look so slow & almost preoccupied ??? Again, the RAYS look so YOUNG but SO with it & HUNGRY, all for SHORT $$$$$ D D needs to shake this walking dead group up, NOW GRASSHOPPER !!!!
Rays getting Glasnow and Meadows for Chris Archer at the trade deadline, as O'Brien pointed out, just might win them a pennant. Good young talent also coming up.
Betts, Bogaerts, Devers are 0-10 today. That is in front of a good home crowd. I can't quite describe the funk they're in.
I wonder if DD and the gang have decided this team just doesn't have what it takes this year so they're going to see what their AAA pitchers can do. They appear to have thrown in the towel on the season. Not that I'm blaming the pitchers for these losses. The offense has been pretty much non-existent.

This what happens when you surrender before the game even starts. The club looks totally demoralized. DD has let the team wither by not making any move to get a competent 5th starter
