KEEP it going boys..... Have fun BLAKE SWIHART !!! thumb_u rofl rofl rofl
Good opening frame by Velazquez.
Oops. That pitch was a mistake. Sox down 1-0.
Wow, I went for a walk and missed all the fun. Lots of scoring. What happened to Velazquez? Beeks looks like he's going to blow the game up here.
Nice DP. That helps.
Beeks out of it with minimal damage. 5-2 Sox.
Moreland with a sac fly RBI. 6-2 Sox.
Workman adds to Beeks' ERA. Now 6-4.
Geo, why did they pull Velazquez? Did he get hurt?
Beeks needs to go back to AAA. Has showed nothing. Was lucky not to give up more runs than he did. 6-4 Sox.

Geo, why did they pull Velazquez? Did he get hurt?
I don't think he was hurt. Was only going to go 4 at most. Not really stretched out to go a lot of innings.

I was wondering if that was the case. Sort of a patched together pitching effort tonight.
These blasted GIDPs drive me nuts. Sox love them.
Run in, JBJ thrown out at 3rd. Needed that run, though.

Like the aggressiveness but with Betts coming up I'd of rather JBJ had stopped at 2nd but hard to think about that if the runner. Took a good play to get him.
And not the best slide. Better hand placement might have saved him.
Very nice inning for Barnes. Looked dominant that inning. Right handers hitting only .102 against him before tonight.
Yeah, he looked good. Some killer pitches.
Beni tacks on another run. 8-4 Sox.
Nice inning for Kelly. 8-4 Sox going into the bottom of the 8th.
Done. Ryan Braiser (who?) looked pretty good. Another good, solid win.
Red Sox WIN again 8 - 4.
YAHOOOOO!
Sox now 9-1. Would like to see them extend that to a nice 10-0 streak.
So does Beeks end up with the win?
Good win for a bullpen game. Offense came through, Had a couple nice plays on defense. Bottom of the order did well tonight. Barnes with the win. Workman gets a hold. On to Wednesday.

AND the Yankees LOSE to the Orioles in the bottom
of the 9th inning 6 - 5.
YAHOOOOO!
Thank you Orioles!
Sox are now 3 1/2 games ahead in the AL EAST.

Somebody in the front office is pushing this Beeks character and playing him up as maybe our next best pitching prospect to make it big for us. That is pure bullshit!! In two games for us he has gotten his tits lit and looks like a career minor leaguer. Perhaps he may develop but from watching him it seems doubtful as this juncture. Anyway, I hope it is the last time we see this guy for a long while. OTOH, it was another good night for us. We won, he hit, we pitched for the most part and our defense did their job. Did you guys see Mookie's catch?????? And the Yankees lost to Baltimore. We are putting a little distance between us and them and we need to do that because as sure as God made little green apples, you mark my words.....THEY ARE GOING NOT ONLY FOR A PITCHER BUT ARE ALL IN FOR MR. MACHADO. Keep your eyes on this.

Maybe he may yet shed the Meatball image he earned the past two years. He has looked good.

And struck out the side doing it. Good stuff.
As DAD would say, "SON, our RED SOX are FUN to watch" !! Yes, DAD, you are right AGAIN !!! thumb_u rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl
Beeks is awful, I hope we've seen the last of him.
The rest of the pen performed pretty well. Another solid win. Third time this season they've had streaks of at least 8 games. That's really something.

First I've heard of him.
I think they've done a poor job in terms of introducing some of these younger pitchers. I'll admit I'm often reading with one eye on the TV, but in fact I missed when they brought him in and I don't think I heard his name mentioned. A lot of broadcast graphics have now started to include the pitcher's name which would be good since the Sox don't use names on home unis (which I like).
