NOT OFTEN, maybe 2 or 3 times ????
Xander with an error on what should have been a DP ball. Now 1st and 3rd with no outs.
Sox were lucky to get out of that inning only 2 runs down.
Another sloppy defensive start. Let's see if this club can rebound. I don't like what I just saw. Every club makes defensive lapses but this club seems to lose focus too easily.
According to Dave O Brien, Manager Alfred E Neuman doubled down on continuing to have Beni leadoff even though he admitted it hasn't worked thus but he thinks it will eventually.

Is that the definition of insanity or the story about digging a hole? It might be both.

Which ever, it is still stupid. It is the same kind of thinking that we used blast John Farrell for.
Sox batters seem to be taking more pitches this year than last. I'd love to see some stats on whether my impression is correct.
Holt ties it up.
Bases loaded, one out, and...nothing.
No. Clutch. Hitting.
Holt is making an impact in his first game back.
Finally some clutch hits. Sox up 5-3.
JBJ with an RBI double. This is more like it.
JBJ is starting to come out of his slump.
Wow, and even Leon joins in the fun. 3 run dinger. Now 9-3.
Super quick inning for Porcello. Sweet.
JD with a solo dinger. Now 10-3. Slow game. Only the 6th inning.
Xander just took a nasty foul tip off the lower leg. Looks like he's staying in the game, though.
This game is far from over. Hembree gives up a double. Now 10-5.
JBJ with another RBI double. 11-5.
JBJ hits when he goes the other way.
BS call on Mookie for strike 3.
Sox win! Bring on the Blues
SOX win 12 - 5.
GOOD one to GET …….. TITO Francona looks like a SKIPPER that knows the SHIP is SINKING !!! iono iono iono iono rofl rofl rofl rofl

No Elk---You mean Jack Brad. Ever since I said I would refer to him by that instead of Jackie Bradley Jr. he has been hitting and with power. It should now be Jack Brad on this board. For whatever reasons it is working. Think of what he was doing before he became JackBrad and see him now. I will never refer to him as Jackie Bradley Jr. again.
Good way to start the Cleveland series but it does no good if we fail the next two times. We have to at least, at least, win this series. A sweep would even the score for the three game sweep they laid on us in the ALDS back in 2016 to ruin the final games for Big Papi.
BTW, did any of you hear that Bill Buckner passed away last night? He caught a lot of shit from you Red Sox fans for that when it was Calvin Schiraldi who chocked his guts out unable to get that one last out. You Red Sox fans???????? Well I wasn't a Sox fan in 1986; became a convert late in the 2000 season as some of you know. On ESPN Radio this morning the host was saying all was forgiven because of late the Red Sox have been winning World Series left and right. I loved hearing that, winning WS left and right. That is why I wanted that fourth one last season. When you win four of them that can then equate winning winning then regularly.

But let's see if Alfred E. Newman sits him down tomorrow? It would so much in character for this suddenly imbecilic manager to do something like this.
JBJ starting to look like a hitter.
Lots of good stuff to take away from the game yesterday - Holt coming back and making a contribution (and shoring up middle infield defense), Chavis with a solid day at 1B (he played there earlier in the year to answer someone's question), "Jack Brad" coming alive finally (let's hope he can keep it going the rest of the season) and even Leon with a big shot. Good solid win by the good guys.

Nah, being miserable is the perpetual state of a New England Sports Fans. After all, the Celtics didn't win a title this year!
