Lin in CF? I guess they can't afford to have deadbats Leon and JBJ in the same lineup.
Second ever career start in CF for Lin. A little surprised they have him in CF and not in LF. Could be interesting.

I can't figure out JBJ ?? Where are the HITTING COACH'S ???? iono iono iono iono
Will Sale get his first win tonight? Some pitchers get in a rythym. On the north side of town today Cubs' Kyle Hendricks pitched a complete game shutout on just 81 pitches. But that was his first win I think.
Nice opening frame. Now let's see if Sale can hold the line against his old team.
Lin hurt sliding into 2B. JBJ may be coming into the game after all.
Trying a hit-and-run with Leon at the plate is not too bright. Leon couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat.
No JBJ. Pearce in to play LF.
Some heavier rain moving into Chicago. Wouldn't be surprised if this game gets delayed in a bit.
Sale has looked good, other than the double he just gave up. Pitches looking good and he’s not throwing a ton either which is a real difference. I’d like to see some more offense after last night.
The Sox need to figure out how and if they can carry a bunch of non-producers like JBJ and Thornburg.
Nice job by Devers with the 3R HR to atone for last night.
Chavis with a towering 2-run blast. The kid has some power.
Bases juiced, one out. More runs here would be good.
There's a freebie. We'll take it.
Ah, JD!! We did not need a GIDP. Ugh.
Looks like Sale is done. Good outing for him, although if I were to pick nits, I would have liked him to have gone more than 6 innings. Still, a no-run outing is nothing to sneeze at.
Great effort by Sale tonight.
Hembree gets through the 7th without blowing the shutout. Two more to go.
Brewer with two walks already. Where do they find these bozos?
Brewer blows the shutout.
Out of the inning with just the one run in.
Done. Good game. Sale gets his first win of the season.

I missed the game. Did Sale hit 94-95, or is he still on the low 90s?

He had good velocity throughout but more importantly he had command and was getting swings and misses.
Great win for the Sox after a tough loss the night before. Last year that loss would have been one tucked in between wins. Now lets see if they can win out the weekend.
Sox are now 9-5 the last 2 weeks (they were 6-13 before that). That's a solid pace that they need to maintain with a win streak or two thrown in for good measure.

We came nicely on Friday Ted and then won on the weekend. Good series, three out of four just what we needed. Would have been good if we could have run the tables but I will take three of four any day.
