This will be the first locally televised game for me since we dropped DirecTV. We'll find out if I can watch it on any of the local stations we now get. MLB.TV will black it out here.
Did THORNBERG make the trip ??? iono iono
Games can be watched on line at the following site. It defaults to the home feed but you can choose either teams feed. Excellent site.

Thanks, Geo.
Devers swinging a good bat. Hitting the ball hard most of the time. 1-0 Sox.
This website is sweet. I have it running on my iPhone and I'm using AirPlay to pipe it to AppleTV and then to my 42" TV. Nice sharp image.
I would have liked to see them get more out of bases loaded and one out, but at least they got something.

Pretty reliable site. No popups to screw with. At least I don't have any.
Even more cool, I have my laptop using the TV as a second screen, so the game is on there and I still have the laptop screen to use as normal.
This is where high speed broadband really shines.
Did it look like Bradley should have had that HR? It just barely hit the yellow line.
Beni ties it up.
JBJ almost ended the inning with a GIDP, but it was ruled foul. So he went back and did it right on the second try. Such persistence. ::) sigh

Practice makes perfect.
Close call there. ChiSox almost tied it up.
Xander really needs to work on getting rid of the ball faster.
Well, now it is tied up.
Red Sox retake the lead on a JD Martinez hit -
RED Sox 4 - White Sox 3
Going to the bottom of the 7th inning . . .
Great 8th inning by Barnes. Now lets tack on a run.
Nail biting time.
Nice work, Raffy.
Crap. This isn't good.
Oh well. Sox still need to find a closer.
Brasier HAD been good - until tonight.
DANG IT -
seems that David Price pitches better when he doesn't get run support.
SO CLOSE to winning 4 in a row.
Need to find a 3rd baseman. As a 3rd baseman Devers will be a good DH.
Have to agree that Devers is a liability at 3rd base.
His errors have cost the Red Sox a few games.
Sigh . . .
DEVERS, DEVERS, DEVERS ……. How BACKBREAKING ?? So COLD and then to watch that flub at 3rd, the PITCHERS must be pissed !!! thumb_d iono iono iono iono iono

That SHAW kid was/is pretty good ….. Who did we get back for him ?? Was it THORNBERG ???????????? iono iono iono iono
Tough loss but they had so many chances to win this one. When 3 guys get all the hits and they bat 1-2-3 it's tough to get those guys in without hits behind them.
Devers screwed a very routine play to blow this one. Should have put Lin in to sub for him, not for Chavis.
Brasier is 6/10 in save opportunities. That's a big swing on the season. Barnes looks very impressive, but I like him in this shutdown role. If they are in contention look for a deal later in the year.
The MVPs of the postseason are zeros today - JBJ seems to be in that phase where he gets worse. I swear the guy needs glasses, he just doesn't see the ball. Pearce can't even get into a game he's so awful. But even so, you'd think that Bogey, Devers or Moreland could get a hit with men on base every time the came up.
Looking ahead to the reset, I think they keep Devers as a 1B/DH because of his bat in the lineup. The 3B job goes to Chavis, who goes back to 2nd when Dalbek is ready to come up. They probably resign Moreland for one year. Catcher and outfield seem more questionable in one to two years.

DEVERS @ 1st BASE ???? That is a SCARY thought/sight ??? iono iono iono iono
Getting caught up today guys and gals. I'm working in my local political office today and I have access to a computer so for the next two or three hours I will try and catch up with everyone. Devers projects out to about 48-50 errors this season and there is NO way we can carry a risk like that on third for he remainder of the season, and are we sure Chavis is the guy we seem to think he is? I sure hope so because if he is we have another RH power hitter in our lineup, someone we need very badly. Devers might wind up at first---less of a risk here----if the Red Sox are stupid enough to allow JD Martinez to walk after this season. At any rate we need Chavis' bat in the lineup. Right now we have two big holes in our lineup-----Devers defensively and Bradley offensively. We may now have to move one or both of them for pitching help because we have no chance to win with two stiffs scheduled to be in the starting rotation for awhile.
