Wojo? Where do the O's find these pitchers? We'll find out again today if they were hiding something about Mr. Cashner. sigh sigh
It is going to be brutally hot and humid today. I expect there will be a lot of guys playing for both teams as the heat and humidity takes its toll on everyone. This will be more a test of which team handles the humidity than of anything.

Lineup OUT on NESN.com ……. HOLT 1st base, Hernandez 2nd base...…… Speaking of an HERNANDEZ, The BIG PITCHER looks like he belongs & will get better.... Hard throwing & just WILD ENOUGH to keep the hitters OFF BALANCE & eat some innings too..... EVOLDI is back too, not sure I would want to trot him out in THIS HEAT, but we will see ??? iono iono iono
Curious to see if there is anything said that Chavis is out due to a sore back.

Can't recall a Sox player in the last 10 years who has improved more defensively within a season than Devers has.

I know he came out of Saturdays game with what I thought was a tight calf but it could be the back. They did say last night he was going to be day to day.
Cashner gets roughed up in the first by Mancini. Oh well.
Sox look terrible at the plate.
OK 16 runs Sat. Hitless after 3 today. What am I missing? Hubris again maybe.
7 out 10 Sox batters have struck out. Pathetic
Cashner is not very impressive now is he?

He only has two pitches today with the changeup ... can't get his curve ball in the zone. I think was his problem last werk.
Asher Wojciechowski looks very impressive with his 5.7 era. Future ace material. At least while facing the dead sox.
Sox being no hit after 5.

FUTURE ALL STAR …….. Actually, ME THINKS that our BELOVED RED SOX would rather be on a plane to TAMPA BAY !! Can't take the HEAT & are sleep walking thru this game !!!! D D needs to shake up this ROSTER, NOW GRASSHOPPER !!!! iono iono iono
LOL. Sox being no-hit by the worst team in the division.
I warned everyone last night that we could come up dry today after a big outbreak last night. No one should be surprised, should they?????? They have done this countless times this season and it points out what I've been saying all along----we are not the stuff of a contending team and it is foolhardy IMHO for Dombrowski to go out and get a pack of hired guns while we choke off the developments of our younger players or trade what few good prospects that we have. Sorry guys but WE ARE DONE......AND FOR MANY REASONS.
HOORAY, the Sox got a hit.

The only hired guns as you would say would be the type that Cashner is. I have said this since day 1 that the FO made a commitment to stay under the 246 LT and I applaud them for staying under.

It was the back.
Raffy breaks up the no-no, but we forgot how to score a run. Simply amazing.
We traded for the wrong Orioles pitcher!
This guy has been on fire today, he's hitting spots and commanding unlike the Sox pitchers. The only chance is to get to their pen.
The Os pitcher Wojwhatshisname is a career minor leaguer. The Sox have lost any real competitive fire.
Hard to figure out sports . A bum with a 5.7 era comes in and embarrasses the BEST HITTING TEAM IN ALL OF BASEBALL.

Its hot so the team decided it was too hot to overly exert themselves. In keeping with Mgr. Newman's philosophy annuciated in ST they are saving themselves for a late Sept. stretch run!!!!!

Will, that Sept run be in 2020?
I hope we all now agree that the Red Sox circa 2019 are as done as an overcooked piece of pork. Last night and today showed the fluctuations that has become a hallmark of the 2019 edition. Today it looked like it was too hot to make any kid of concerted effort to after that career minor league pitcher and decided to just take the afternoon off. For various and sundry reasons our team has just not be able to answer the bell for any type of extended period this year and, worse, have been mushed around by teams that we ought put a beat on----but haven't. The aim before the season even started was to stay under the LT and the tam adhered to it, but never did they think the players would so under perform. Make your vacation plans for the Fall Red Sox because you have been mentally eliminated from the race----and after the TB and NY series it will be spiritually too. YOU"RE TOAST!!!!!!
Once again I reiterate what I have said all along. The blame for this debacle started the beginning of Spring Training when Alfred E. Cora decided a slow and easy training period would keep the team strong and instead of doing that all it idd was make the players take on the same mindset and play like they were having a friendly game at the neighborhood park.
I read that the club agreed to keep the guys at the hotel until two hours before the game at Camden Yards --- stayed out of the heat. They came on the bus in shorts, beach hats and clogs for their trip to Tampa. They did have to suit up after they got to the park. Are these FO decisions for casual dress? Timing not good for the beach garb.

In XBogaerts interview with Bradford he said that Manager relaxed the dress code. Now I am old fashioned enough and having served in the Army and ran several large operations I see the attitude of sloppy dress carrying over to the workplace. I believe there is a correlation between sloppy off the field behavior being carried over to the playing field.

A good recipe Sea Dog for mailing it in. They were babied in ST; why change now. Besides the players have apparently grown to like being treated with kid gloves insteads of a little tough love. And read what Elk wrote after your missive. It pretty well amplifies what most of us have been saying.
