I checked and Tom Eshelman is not related to the dearly departed Vaughn Eshelman. He has started and appeared in 2 games.
Regular lineup back in tonight. You guys can get off the Tobin Bridge for the evening.

Not when you can bet your bottom dollar that Manager Neuman will pinch hit for Holt at the first opportunity.
Nice start. 4-0 Sox early.
JBJ goes deep. Where has his bat been? Batting .165 in July.
Raffy with a bomb. Sox up 5-0.
No lead is safe with this team. Porcello craters again. Now 5-4 Sox.
And the hits keep on coming. Now 5-5.
Looking g at this game I am thinking what the good hitting PO teams will do to this pathetic pitching staff.Thats reason enough for me to say why go out even for decent help at the cost of any type of young player.
At least the Sox aren't done hitting. Mookie with a dinger. Now 7-5 Sox.
Sox blowing this one wide open. JBJ with another dinger. Now 13-5.
Which begs the question. Is 13 runs gonna be enough?
With Sox pitching it still may not be enough runs.
Some insurance is still needed with this bullpen. But after Porcello gave up the lead this had a good chance of becoming a very disappointing loss. The way the team has responded is encouraging and Martinez coming up with 3 hits hopefully signals a turnaround.
All this game signals is that Baltimore has worse pitchers than the Sox. :o ;D
Good thing Porcello has a 10 run lead. He's still stinking up the joint. He may hit 100 pitches before the end of the 5th inning.
Sox win a slo pitch soft ball game. They probably won't score a lick tomorrow.
Well, at least they avenged last night's thumping.
We won a game against the worst team in baseball so I guess we can be happy about that until you see that Rick the Dick once again got creamed for sixruns and 11 hits in five or so innings of shitty pitching. One can't really celebrate a game like this because the fear is that after we score a ton or runs in one game we usually dry out the next. We'll see tomorrow. Guys, don't get y our hopes too high. Unless we get some pitching we are dust in the wind.
Well Sunday has come and we all see what has frustrated us all year. We erupt and then go dry and flat......no hit by an unknown after six innings. Simply put, this is no playoff team
Well the fat lady ain't singing yet, but in the Sox case we know what she looks like. As of Sunday we're tied with Rays in the WC (losses) , 3 games back of the A's and 4 of Cleve.
We get t he Rays 6 times coming up, which should put some separation for somebody, unfortunately we got the Bronx boys in the middle of that. I'm just flustered by the pitching depth we have coming into those games.
A win is a WIN …….. Will be 100* + today at 1st pitch at 1:00 ….. Lets get out of there A LIVE & with a WIN !!! Bet the players can't wait to get to the CLIMATE control stadium with TAMPA BAY ?? rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl

He could be playing dinged up. I think he has been complaining about back spasms and such for the last month. We lost our leading homerun hitter (at the time he went down) in Moreland. What happened to him? But that's been his history staying healthy the second half.
