Doess't look good to me right now. Cora still is playing Alfred E. Newman and not only has be still reused acknowledge his malfeasance with his ST program but stubbornly refuses to putBetts back at leadoff and Benny back at No. 2. Instead he is sending Andrew all over the lot and batting Chavis first?????? How is that for stupidity?
I don't like Beni back at the top. Keep him at the bottom until he gets something going.
Also, if they are going to be so insistent on playing Leon, then Bradley has to sit.
Price out after three batters, now what?!!!!!
Argh. Now what? Price out already?
This game could get out of hand fast.
Brewer out of a jam. Sox better start scoring some runs.
What a shame, that ball by Devers should be landing about now.
Raffy gets robbed by the roof. Should have been a dinger.
Nice look, Chavis.
Why is Manager "What me worry" resting JD Martinez?
Bogaerts does an excellent imitation of a statue. He strikes out on three pitches and never swings his bat. But he did chew his gum.
Six sox batters have struck out in three innings
Stros score first
So manager Alfred E Neuman ends up using JD Martinez after all but as a pinch hitter for Leon. Vazquez the DH will now catch. So Manager Neuman loses the DH and JD only gets to bat once but gets caught in a run down in another baserunning blunder caused by Benintendi.
Tell me again why every thinks Manager What Me Worry is so wonderful with his team making so many boneheaded moves
Perfect time for Vaz to get hot. Game tied at 3.
OMG Sox tied the game in the 9th. Devers hit but his great jump to stay out of the DP. Great hustle. The kid is on fire.
Bases juiced, two outs. C'mon Moreland. Do something.
Hmm, something other than a weak dribbler would have been nice. Again, there was a chance to win and they blew it.
Meatball Matt gives up a double on his second pitch. I smell a walk off coming.
Not having JD Martinez start the game meant that the Astros could pitch around Betts which they did. As I said at the outset why did Manager Alfred E Neuman not start Martinez. If we are to win it we'd have to go into extra innings, the loss of the DH could be a factor, another genius move by Manager What me worry.
Argh. Barnes gives up a double to start and then walks the next batter. I'll be amazed if he gets out of this.
Bases loaded, no outs. Not a chance they'll get out of this.
Resting Martinez and then having to replace Leon later was a terrible decision. Pearce may have had the worst at bat I’ve ever seen and that was a direct result. I think they said Bogaerts is supposed to “rest†tomorrow. Rest vs. Toronto, not vs. Houston.
This team sure giveth then taketh away, huh?
Watch Barnes give up a walk-off walk.
No surprise there. Thanks, Matt.
After the Yankees series, the Sox could be in serious jeopardy of being out of the race by the ASB.
Well at least Devers had an outstanding game. Barnes gets the loss with a big assist from Manager Alfred E Neuman. Bring back John Farrell ;D

Well that could have a bright side maybe Henry would dump the manager.
One point overlooked in this loss is the great job the newbs from the BP did to keep the Sox in it until the end. Barnes, who is the old fart in the pen, looked like crap compared to the new guys.
Sox are a pathetic 2 games over .500. Yanks are 17 games over .500, so the Sox are 7.5 games back. I'd say the season is quickly slipping away. This is on you, Cora. That awful start is all due to a disastrous spring training. I hope to be eating crow in October, but I'm not planning on it at this point in the season.
It is astounding as well as shocking to me how in one season Alex Cora could go from a pretty damn good manager who had his hands on the prize and made some very great moves and now has become the making of a total moron, making moves that defy imagination and common sense. Martinez on the pine and Leon catching. We need hitting in that lineup[ and it looks like Jack Brad could go back into a funk t the late as well. A team that loses one run games on the road is a losing team and we are that now. Barnes???? What a shit!!!!! Tomorrow we get swept and I will throw in the towel. We are not only not going to win the AL East; we may not make the playoffs. We have become a shitty team. Something is terribly wrong with this team and I gave one suggestion today but markj took it off the board because it did smack a lit tle of politics but that could be one of the reasons this team is disjointed and out of sync.
Thank God we have four World Series Titles to look back on the past 15 years because it will have to sustain us. This team sucks.

You know WHY ?????? The G M gets the players & the MANAGER try's to get the MOST out of them, in the END it's the PLAYERS that need to PLAY !!! iono iono iono
Yes the players do need to play but aren't doing so when the manager is more interested in resting his best players than putting them in the lineup.
I'm waiting for the day JH sends down a decree that Cora take a day's rest, or longer!
