The good news, Pivetta is pitching a 1-hit shutout, so far. The bad news, Means is pitching a no-hitter.
Well Trevor Story breaks out of his slump - they are all in a slump -- with a 2-run shot in the 5th.
Gee the Red Sox actually won a game.
Devers gets his 99th RBI thanks to an impressive burst and speed and slide from Rafaela on a contact play.
Pivetta is fun to watch when he's on. So now he has a magic slider. Well, he might not be consistent, but he is reliable. Next year is a walk year. This could interesting.

Pivetta was a breath of fresh air last night, seven innings of superb pitching. He has pitched rather well since brought back into the rotation and perhaps the team might consider bringing him back with a new contract....Maybe. Then, again, maybe the bungling front office will let him walk and lost him as we did Wacha who is having a banner year with San Diego. And who did we get to take Wacha's place? An over the hill has been who got rocked practically every time out.
Shocker! We held on and won a game.
Really tough watching this team just going through the motions this past month.
O's have their ALE title. They're in cruise mode now trying to avoid injuries before the post-season.
