Not sure on this I think Nava was the last rook to get an HR as 1st hit and it was on the 1st pitch for a Slam.

Correct. Last Sox rookie. And it was a slam against Philly.

Hitting is not the question towards Devers.At age 20 he has lots of time to improve on his present terrible defense situation. Quite certain Butters will put in extra time with him.

I give Moreland credit playing thru his broken toe injury but he is NOT helping this team at all.
DL him and bring up Travis .Seems like a simple solution.

I don't platoon Devers. I put Nunez at short or 1st base. If he can't play 1st put Hanley there more and let Nunez DH. Moreland does virtually nothing offensively for the team. Only RBI he gets is if a guy is on 3rd and he can hit a sac fly.

Sale was terrific for 7 innings.
Sox gave him run support.

I was a bit nervous in the bottom of the 9th though . . .
