First of all, I don't know diddly about what has been projected by the Fenway Group FO.  I have an inkling that they did not go out and bid for an ace to the rotation, because they were holding on to their finances for the 2025 season.

Yet that strategy does not focus on all the additional owners who will be bidding in the market in 2025 season.  We could have built the staff with a couple prized arms this year for a good start to 2025 when there were only a handful of teams bidding.  Next year the FO will have to outbid many owners just to install another building block.
