Oh goodness, Fred. I didn't even think of that yet. Yanks could catch us tonight. And I was in such a not quite so horrible mood. 

Then again, that might be just what we need to clear out some of the front office management types, though keep some of the player dev types around. They had a better year. So that's it. Silver linings time.

CRAP - Sox scored 1 run in the bottom of the first inning - that was it.
Yankees beat the Sox 4 - 1.

SWEPT the doubleheader.

Yankees and Red Sox are tied at a record of 73 - 72,

Had a better chance winning the first game . . .

AND, DANG IT - the Yankees crawled out of their at least 5 games under .500 hole.

Absolutely dreadful.  0-15 RISP.  3 runs scored in the last 20 innings.  The go-to type contact hitters you would count on - Duvall and Story -  are producing close to zero in the last few games.

Abreu gunned down a runner by 20 feet with a dead perfect throw from left. That arm us why I like him for RF next year if Verdugo is traded.

I think we've seen the ability at the plate that Rafaela posses. Keeping his hands in on a inside heater and rifling it to Right Center was far more impressive to me than that ball he hit half way up the light tower.

Rafaela showed off his arm as well, but it needs to be dialed in a bit more. He'll get there.   

Turner popping up with 1 out and runner on 3rd sort of summarized our whole day.
