Alfaro behind the dish, Giants runners should have a field day.  Glad I missed last night's game.

WHY IS THAT #$%&@+? CORA BENCHING DURAN AGAIN.  HE GOT TWO HITS LAST NIGHT AND IS HITTING OVER 300 AND CLUTCH TOO WHILE REIFSNYDER PULLED A BONER WORTH A WEEK'S WORTH OF BENCHING.  As for Alfaro, he is most likely the worst defensive catcher in the game and one that teams have scuttled from one team to another, and yet Cora decides to play the guy.  Cora has lost his marbles totally on this because a loss today most likely finishes our chances of winning any kind of WC berth.  Bad enough I think our ball club is a fragile one to begin with, but to put a lineup like this on the field in a rubber game that we have to win in obscene.  We have to win this game today and a loss could send our team spinning out of control to a possible massacre in Seattle.

Sometimes these play for the moment leaves a giant hole behind our best hitter. Never dug that aspect of NL mindset style ball.

Saturday's loss was difficult as all walk-offs are, but I got the feeling of some you win, some you lose. Sometimes it's their turn.

Sunday's game was a little more frustrating. Not being able to move the ghost-runner over in two consecutive innings is a tough pill to swallow. Having Yu Chang protecting Devers in a late-game lineup is tough and so old school NL no DH style.

Fielding? Lessee - not hitting cutoff men again, and yes, Casas was in place this time. Failing to turn at least 2 DPs. Letting them bunt at will against us, though they were indeed good bunts.

All of that mattered because we mustered exactly 3 runs NOT derived by Home Runs all weekend. A weekend in which we held the opposition's struggling offense to 9 runs. (oh, and we really pitched to that one good hitter was a base open late???)

Bad weekend.

What is it with these guys that they just disappear for games at a time.  Plus these 2 game losing streaks usually turn into 5 or 6 day ones.  Can't this team pull it together? Especially when the pitching is keeping them in it?

To make matters a little worse, Joely now has a hip injury. Stint #3 to the IL, backdated a few days.
