Great shot in the arm by Kutter.  Pitched a shutout over 6 on just 1 hit, K-9.

Masa is showing why he likes the bigger size baseballs in the US.  6 RBI's today.

This Faria guy is awful.  4 walks, he's only thrown 4 strikes out of 21 pitches.

Get this rag-arm Faria out of here.  We DFA'd Tayler, and this was the guy we promoted.  Shesh.

This has been what most of us have been waiting for----to see Kutter finally put a solid start together and his six inning one his job was superb.  If he can keep this up we might not have to risk our future by trading top prospect for a starter who may not fit the bill.

It could be he is a favorite of Cora and you know by now had that usually works out to our detriment.  Taylor looks like a fireman compared this turd.d  Where did we get this guy from anyway?

Faria had previously pitched for Tampa. A Bloomer relationship guy. He was on the 40-man already, IIRC. I have a feeling this was a one and done call-up before releasing him. His numbers in Worcester were only getting worse. ERA was well over 6.00 and the whip was 1.64 or something like that.

Those two double plays turned by Chang and Arroyo were very nice plays. Not at all routine. One or both could have easily not happened with other personnel we've had out there too often this season. This is the defensive play we did not get on Saturday that helped the 3rd inning get out of control.

Agreed. I can't help but wonder if him and Eovaldi had a nice chat during Nasty Nate's visit. This is what that start reminded me of for some reason. He didn't even have his grade-A stuff yesterday. It was fun to see him get out of jams and put tough hitters away.

I'm glad Cora let him finish the 6th. 6 run leads are easier to relax the hook.
