Sox sent Ort down, called up Chris Murphy. He's of the LHP Starters that have not made the jump to AAA so well.

Another juggled lineup.  If Cora wants to get Devers going, why does he have Casas batting after him. Cora is grasping at straws.

Paxton pitched good enough giving up only 2 runs. Need the damn offense to step up.

The Sox bats did nothing to win this game until late.  They could not string hits together, LOB, batters in semi slumps in early June as it is.  But the pitching bailed them out, by hook or by crook.  A loss in this game, added to the Rays debacle, would have been a downer.

It was nice to see a big inning creep in. It was a throw back to station-to-station baseball of the early 90's, yes, but it's still nice to get guys on base and runs for a change. Some smart hitting, too. Especially Refsnyder. That was shocking. He had become a poster child for over-swinging with the chips down. Maybe that extra year of pay coming to him made him relax.

Was Turner always this bad at base-running?

Casas looks like he's about to turn a corner with his timing. Not gonna be a .300 hitter any time soon, but the timing is looking better. FWIW, even with that awful last week or so of May, Casas hit .256 for the month. K-rate was down too, until that last road trip.

Sox are 22nd in Quality Starts.

Paxton seems to be struggling early but was pretty solid after that.  Offense came alive but they should have scored even more in that one inning.  Devers continues not seeing the ball. I just can't watch our bullpen anymore.
