JD with  a 3-run dinger in the 1st.

Rays could sit some of their bullpen tonight.  Their wildcard game is at Cleveland Friday, and that looks like best 2 of 3.  They really expanded the playoffs this year.

Xander yanked in the 7th. Hugs all around and an ovation. Last time we see him in a Red Sox uniform?

Brasier is doing his best to blow the last game of the season.

I missed Monday and Tuesday as I was out of town.  Caught a bit of yesterday's game on the ride home and once I got back.  At least it's some small satisfaction that they beat the Rays and kept them in their spot in the WC race.  JD manages to find his power.  He'll be sending that tape to teams that need a DH.

All I can say is good riddance to this crap season.  But who has any hope for the future of this team given the management organization?  Sure hope they surprise us in the offseason.
