Phils fire Girardi

Two months in the Phillies are 12 games behind Mets.  Have lost 12 of the last 17.  Under Girardi they had about a .500 record last two years 2020 and 2021.  But with an increase up to $240mil in salary this year, they have really fizzled.

He had moderate success his first few years as Yankee Manager but that may have been the carryover effect of Torre's teams.  Since then he's been pretty average.
