Valdez allowed 7 runs in the top of the 9th - CRAZY.

EXCEPT for the 9th inning (we knew the Sox would win)
THIS was a good win.

I'll say Valdez was a little rusty. Cora has only used him once since late July, a two week span. You have to like that the Sox learned how to get simple base knocks. Only one home run this game. The balance, 4 games behind Rays, 2 ahead of the Yanks. About 46 to go, can we win 90? That would be 24 more wins, which Im making a guess, needed for WC.

Never felt less comfortable with a two touchdown lead in a baseball game! I didn't watch the 9th inning so was shocked when I saw the final score.

I felt like TB was toying with us (they weren't). Like OK, we spotted you 10 runs and left our starter in to get hammered, no watch this while we come back and beat you!

Should be interesting to see what the carry over is to today. They just need to get on a tear to get back in this thing.
