The Sox starting pitchers are beginning to pile up pitch counts, for whatever reason,  and make early exits, thus putting a big load on the bullpen.  The quality of the bullpen has been a factor in the ten wins. 

Until Sale gets back and Seabold gets prepared, the relievers will gradually start to wear down some.  Brassier is arriving soon and Bazardo is about ready.

When I looked at the pitching matchups for this series, I thought Giolito would have been the dagger for the Sox.  Amazing how the game of baseball can be so unpredictable.

Nice to see a split. Team looks good as long as the offense shows up. Starters still have been ok even in the 2 losses to the White Sox. Pen has been decent. Just can't have those 1 or 2 runs scored games.

Sox may have won one of the doubleheader games if they were 9 innings.  Funny thing about that doubleheader, a friend of mine who lives in the Phillipines told me it was a triple header there - all three games started on the same day (they're 12 hours I think).

Great to have a birthday that comes upon a Red Sox win.  I have four of those that stand out....in 2004, 2007, 2013 and 2018.  That first one is now legend in Red Sox lore.  Nice going Bo.

Going into late April the American League division leaders are Sox, Royals, and Mariners.  All that dinero spent foolishly by the faux contenders ... so far.  I guess we'll see how pitching determines what will soon become reality.  But so far, the product is looking pretty good.
