After a lights-out start against the Yankees, Porcello was roughed up last
time out, getting tagged for seven runs in four-plus innings in Toronto.  It was
the third time in his past five starts that Porcello gave up at least four runs.

PHILADELPHIA:

NICK PIVETTA, RHP, 7-9, 4.51 ERA, 147K

Pivetta pitched well in April and May but struggled in June and July.  The
first two starts of August, however, have looked like his first two months, which
is encouraging.  He has allowed two runs in 12 innings, striking out 13 and
walking one.
