Nothing to complain about and that is very good for us Red Sox fans.  The team is doing what it needs to do and that's win and try and sweep series after series, hard though it might be, because the Yankees are not going to go away.  Fortunately we picked up two games on them the past week as they stumbled in their series openers against the Braves and Blue Jays.  Next for them is the slumping Orioles while we take on a Texas team not doing all that well but who could be dangerous if we try to take them lightly.  We hit well today and got a yeoman performance from Rick Porcello, though I still think he gives up too many hits, but we gets the job done so I guess that passes muster.  We all should turn in tonight happy but start concerning ourselves with the next game by the time we're fully awake.  But I really like the way we took on the Nationals and Royals this past week.  If only Baltimore could find a way to give the Yankees a bad time.

A sweep is a good thing. Fred, you're right about Porcello - he gives up too many hits but somehow gets it done.  He's looking like himself from 2 years ago.  I just hope it channels into the postseason.  Because Price shouldn't be anywhere near a pitching mound come october.

Remember Porcello had no run support last year.  It seems like this team has overcome the run support issue, at least for now.  It would be good to see them take it to teams like the Yankees though when they play them.  Still, have to win as many games like these as you can and they've been doing it.  What's crazy is we've won 62 games already.  Baltimore likely won't win 62 games this year.

Now back home but two teams that we can't sleep on as they seem to get us from time to time in Texas and Toronto.  Time to make a good strong charge to the All Star Break.

Ted, our team can't sleep on anybody.  That's what got us into trouble the last five or so years.  We have to win those games against the so-called sub par teams and we can't consider them sub par teams either.  We have to keep playing our best baseball and hope we get a little help from Baltimore and Cleveland this week.
