Rays lost again, so the Sox are a half game back now.
Interesting series with Royals in a tailspin. They’ve dropped 11 of last 12, and KC pitching is averaging 6 runs a game allowed. But this could be a donnybrook with Pivetta out there.
Watched the Worcester Red Sox play the Iron Pigs 3A game yesterday. Tanner Houck had an outstanding outing.
Not only does Alex Cora insist in keeping the pathetic Marwin Gonzales in the lineup wlth his 190 average, but now he has to once again insert that 106 hitting bum Santana ion there as well. We have gotten off to a decent start on this road trip and have a decent chance of winning this series with Kansas City who have been in a slump but it doesn't make it easier if we have to give away seven or eight outs with two bums in the lineup. Hope the rest of the lineup hits big tonight because we have two outs in that lineup.
The Comeback Kids better have a plan for tonight as they're in a hole as usual.
Mariners are up 4-1 over TB. Let's hope that holds, because it looks like the Sox will be in the loss column tonight.
Oh well, no comeback tonight. TB is down 5-1 in the 4th, so hopefully that continues.
This was one of those losses where I just shrug my shoulders and hope for better bounces tomorrow. The Royals did play well. Their announcers are awful. At least the whole broadcast wasn't one big advertisement for ticket sales.
What an enigma Renfroe is in RF. Sometimes great, sometimes uncoordinated as hell. I like him enough. Gotta respect anyone who's adjusting his plate approach this late in his career and having some success.
Franchy's turned into an on-base machine in Worschester.
