E-Rod doing ok so far. Need some run support now.
Had good chance to score big but blew that.
Tied up 2-2 now.
This team all of a sudden striking out at an alarming rate. 14 last night 8 thru 5 innings so far.
Mookies 2nd HR with 1 on .Sox. 4-3
Bad base running by Beni not tagging up on the fly ball to right field. Looks like he left early and had to go back.
Ump screens Beni from being able to see the catch - now that's ridiculous.

Even more ridiculous was Febles not moving to be able to tell Beni what was happening.
Just can't seem to catch fire. A week ago when they loaded the bases you expected a grand slam, now you hope they don't hit into a DP! Let's hope they can hang on. I wonder if Kimbrel is done for the week?

Yeah, I was wondering about that.
The Bruins better step up their game - I'm not ready for a first round exit.

Not the 3rd base coaches job to tell him to go. If the coach needs to tell you then it's to late or you shouldn't be playing. Plus how would the coach know if a runner is blocked out by an ump? I've never seen that in my life on a tag up at 3rd or any other base for that matter. All Beni needed to do was follow the ball. He left early so he didn't follow the flight of the ball. And if it is the 3rd base coaches job to tell him to go why did Beni leave the bag before the ball was caught because he wouldn't of been told to go yet!
Kimbrel with the save!
Go Bruins!
Sox manage to hang on. Streak snapped.
Good pitching again and just enough offense. On to Thursday.
We got back on the winning trail tonight by a whisker but we all should be relieved, but we need to win this series to get back home with a little momentum. This time it might be good for Cora to give a couple of guys a day off because it looks to me like they are pressing. How can a good hitting team suddenly turn so cold all of a sudden? Good that at least two of our guys were hitting tonight but we need five or six doing that.
Good day for Boston sports. Not so much for Toronto. Sox win over the Jays and Bruins send the Leafs packing for the season.
Mookie was essentially a one man show tonight. Good job by our pitching, too. I'll take it.
And, yep, thrilling win by the Bruins. thumb_u
Great to see ANOTHER APRIL victory... 18 & 5 certainly is more than we all thought capable..... Keep it going.... Would like to see BENI BICEPS go on a tare, (no pun intended) thumb_u rofl
Good timely win. We need ERod to steady the bottom of the rotation. But it's hard to maintain .900 baseball. sigh To put things in balance the WS champion 'Stros just dropped 2 of 3 at home to LAA. Things do tend to balance themselves out.

Rodriguez pitched in a way that he basically never has before: 44 percent 2- or 4-seam fastballs, the lowest percentage of his career, with heavy use of changeup, cutter, slider

As DAD would say, "SON, good things happen when you keep the other team off balance" !! thumb_u
