We win another series after  a losing streak......that's good.  The hitting is a little stale right now and our defense still needs work.  What I would like to see is a good coming week and we go five or six games above 500 and see some of guys start hitting again.  Two games above 500 is better than two games below but do need to show that we can be more consistent than we have been of late----or am I asking too much?

Nats pitcher was tough on our  bats. But Raffy saved the day.

Tough news forWinchowski.  He was a bullpen regular, but got optioned to make way forBello.

Longgame and me (Sea Dog) have discussed taking in a WooSox game down in Charlotte, N.C. at Knights Stadium (White Sox affiliate).  It is a long home stand of six games.

We thought that Elktonnick and Mongo would be not too far away from Charlotte to get together for one of those games.  Anyone else have interest?  The dates are Tuesday May 28th through Sunday June 2nd, six games.  the weekday games are 6:35 PM and the weekend games are 1:05 PM. Let me know if any of those dates meet your schedule. 

It's been a sort of rough year, but would be good to meet up with you great baseball minds to help scuttle through this season !

Good pitching and a clutch hit get the sox a win. Hopefully something to build on.

Lots of LOB and a poor showing against a not great team. Seemed like O'Neill shouldn't have been waved in as the CF was up and throwing, but great play still by the catcher too.  That inning where Rafaela and Duran got on base with none out and were stranded was tough to watch.
