Priester will be up soon.  There's someone else they were talking about promoting too and I can't remember who it was.  They need to do something as this bullpen is cooked.  6 starts in a row where Houck didn't get a win because the bullpen lost it.

Priester threw 5IP, 64 pitches, 0-runs and 2 hits yesterday in AAA.

On an unrelated note, but still involves pitching. I THINK Monegro pitches tomorrow(Tues) for Greenville. He recovered from two miserable starts to go 6 starts, 29IP, 0 ER's with an opponents batting average of .122 with 34 strikes. I didn't catch any of it as I was enjoying a rare decent August evening outside. Monegro pitched 5 more innings of shutout baseball, allowing 1 hit and 8K's. He's up to 34 innings over 7 starts. The batting average against is now down to .114 during this 7 game heater.

We had quite the series of blows to our trade deadline acquisitions. Joining Paxton in the MASH unit are Lucas Sims and Luis Garcia. Garcia looked like he had turned the new team nerves corner. Alas, we may not see either of them in 'Sox uniforms again.
