7 out of 10 on a West Coast trip.  Great starting pitching.  Who would have thunk it.

These were the kind of series that we stunk at last season---winning the first game and losing the next two so many times, and if memory serves me we were pretty much the same in 2022.  Coming a tough loss last night and hitting four dongs today could mean that MAYBE we're not as bad as many of us think we're going to be.  Still the Angels and A's are not the Orioles or the Yankees and we have to see if our homestand will continue to see the solid pitching and power we're showed in Anaheim.  Honestly, I did not think we would be 7-3 after our first ten games.  Did anyone our there think we would?

Great start that nobody suspected.  Fred, last year they would have lost last night's game, like they did, but then they would not have bounced back the next day.  The other good news is they only have 3 games all season that start at 8:30 or later the rest of the year.

Home stand is Baltimore, our first real test, but then the Angels and Guardians.  All in all, they have a good April schedule.

One might say that Breslow has a horseshoe up his behind.  What a stroke of genius(?) to have the Story plugin hit a homerun and get two hits in his first game.  Then to see Houck pitch a gem in his shutout innings.  Although Houck was our #1 pick several years ago.  Like y'all said the schedule gets serious with the O's, for whatever reason the Yanks draw 1-9 Marlins this week.
