GODLEY again ???  God spare us !!! iono iono iono iono iono

You mean UNgodly, don't you Bill?  He fits right in with the rest of the trash we keep sending out there----Brewer, Brice, Maeza, Weber.  Once we get into extra innings we are done because you know to put a man on second base means that man is going to score with the puke we always have there on the mound.

Going to the top of the 6th inning
Jays 5 - Sox 4
Sox are inching back . . .

Today the lower end of the order is leading the scoring,
Xander and JD have been ending rallies.

They battled back,
but lost 8 - 7 in a shortened 7 inning game.

NORMALLY scoring 7 runs would result in a win . . .

DANG IT!
Why do I still follow this team?

Perhaps you all need a reminder of what I have said since 2014 about Bogaerts.  First, he is NOT a leader in any sense of the word, two, he does not rise to the occasion when needed most because he is NOT equipped to be the BIGMAN---which seems to be what they are grooming him for.  Last night in the ninth inning when he could have won the game he failed to drive in that much needed winning run---and we lost again.  Today when a real leader and bell cow would make amends he did even worse and constantly failed to come through when needed ----AGAIN.  He does have talent but he is better suited to be the No. 3 or 4 man, BUT CERTAINLY NOT NO. 1  Again he doesn't have the fire, mental toughness and heart to be that guy.  Comparing to Big Papi or even JDM at his best is like comparing filet mignon  to cat lit ter.....and I don't even eat red meat.

Not only Bogey, but in the 2-3-4 Devers, Bogey, JDM go 0-11 and strand 12 on the bases.  A recipe for disaster most nights.

JDM is all out of sorts this year.  The league has changed film study, which is his livelihood to hitting.  Plus he complained that the pandemic protocol reduced the time to work on his film study.  The guy needs to simplify things, but too old to change.
