I would think in a domed stadium the chance of precipitation is zero, but you never know with the Trop.

The Rays have more cutouts of fans in the stands than they had regular fans  at a game before the pandemic

Sea Dog 23

Moreland gets his third dinger.  Sox 1-0 going to the 3rd.

I forgot what Eovaldi did against th Mets, but Murph was pointing out the test would come against a good club.  85 pitches and once again retired after 5.  Nothing at all to hang your hat on.

Another loss AGAINST a team that had been losing.
Rays 5 - Sox 1
Sox had the bases loaded in the top of the 9th
and couldn't get anything done.

Just rooting for MLB to cancel this shortened season
due to COVIS 19 - sad to say.

This whole season is stupid. What are we (or MLB or owners) gaining by fielding half-assed teams and risking long-term problems from this virus? Is it really all worth it? I think not.

Another day, another loss.   3 and 8 is like starting something 8 and 22.  They are out of it already which is hard to believe a little more than a week into the season.  In the meantime pitchers keep dropping like flies like the kid in Atlanta the other night.  Not sure what the latest Covid situation is other than the Cards, but this season is a joke.  A bigger joke is the NFL thinking they can do this with at least 3 times the number of people.

As much as this season is folly to the Sox, Marlins, and Blue Jays, the teams in Minn. NYY, ,Atlanta, Cubs, Rockies, LA.are succeeding in this environment.  It is probably an imbalance in management, team depth, team morale. IMO the Sox are caught in the middle of what Henry wants to be a reset year.

Interesting report from an epidemiologist in Minnesota (Michael Osterholm),  who has studied COVID from Jan. in China., He thinks COVID will be with us for a lifetime.  Of course that will reduce sports to maybe college intramurals, not to mention the impact of the economy on what's left of sports.

If we can effectively manage it through vaccination we'll be fine eventually.  Think measles.  It's still around but we're protected.

The virus will mutate and eventually become less virulent.  That is the natural progression of all these illnesses.  Moreover, the media tends to promote stories that tend to keep the public on edge.
