That time slot will separate the true Sox fans from the Pats hangers-on.  They will still be in the 3rd quarter, if anyone cares about the Sawx today.

Tim Wakefield, the first baseman-turned-knuckleball pitcher who helped the Boston Red Sox win two World Series titles, has died of brain cancer at age 57, the team announced on Sunday.
Wakefield made public his brain cancer diagnosis late last month. Kind of puts a perspective on what's important in life.

Heartbreaking to hear of the death of Tim Wakefield just before the game.
Tim Wakefield was a class act.
He had a great knuckleball pitch - and when that pitch danced - he was unbeatable!
He was a community leader.
An admired Red Sox player.

May his memory always be for a blessing.

The hits keep coming for Red Sox Nation.  We have to endure another last place finish which is bad enough, but to lose one of our classiest players to cancer at such a young age is like a dart to your heart.  RIP Tim.

This was a kick in the nuts for me on Sunday. I did watch a little bit later on, but it felt to soon. Glad I did, though.
