We're playing a good team ready to make their mark in the Senior Circuit and we just have to be better than they are for the next two days.....sounds simple, doesn't it.  They are a team blessed with solid veteran players and some very good young guys who are doing very well.  I just think we need to win this series to keep our comeback rolling with no more hiccups.  We need to become consistent winners even though we do still need a reputable closer to nail things down.

Arenado just made life for Alex Cora and Chaim Bloom a little easier. If Duran beats that throw out, there is no sending him back to Worcester.

Nolan Gorman homers in the 4th for StL.  He was the AAA prospect the Cards supposedly offered Sox for Bogey.  Since that time he was promoted and on a   hot streak with the long ball.

Yikes!!!  They were not kidding about Franchy's errors at SS early in his minor league career. 44 in 55 games, 11 in 30 games, 51 in 56 games and 20 in 23 games.

Wasn't Robels a 96-97 mph guy not too long ago? He was huffing and puffing to throw 93-94 yesterday. Something ain't right with him and it's been that way for most of the season.

June 20th is right around the corner. Isn't that the date for active pitchers dropping to 13. Someone's gotta go on the IL, DFA'd or demoted.

Regardless of all that, the cards got an extra 3-4 outs in that inning. A bad call by the ump negated a strikem out, throw 'em out DP, and Bobby Dalbec clanked a potential 3-6-3 DP and then misjudged the play at first and lost the foot race to first when he could have tossed it to Sawamura. If you want to assume a DP, that's 7 outs the Cards got that inning. Never a good thing.

They were just talking about Cora leaving Davis in for 56 pitches to finish off this game. Yikes!!! I hope we don't have to talk about that dubious decision later in the year.

Do we even have a reliever who can go out there and pitch two decent times in a row?  Seems like they all  take turns looking decent one day and total crap the next----save forCora's pet Robles.  He's shitty no matter when he pitches, but rumor has it his arm has been on the blink for some time now.  Great!!!!! Now how about finding someone to take his place.  OTOH, I'm shocked that Brasier HAS pitched three good one inning runs his past three times out. Hard to believe that and I just remembered it.
