The good news is the Mariners have a record on par with the Sox.

The bad news is this kid Kirby is a #1 pick for them and has two decent starts - 10 IP, 8Ks, 7 hits and a walk for 1 ER.  Sox always seem to struggle against young pitchers they haven't seen before. Let's hope they can get some early runs for Hill.

The Kirby kid pitched at Elon Univ in N.C.

Good news I read, Wacha is being activated and is scheduled to pitch Friday night.

I didn't even know Elon had a BB program.

Anyhow, anyone know what the Mariners' pitching change was disallowed?

And they just answered it. I know they've let that one fly i the past. New rule? That used to be a strategy.

Like I said Sawamura looks he said hold my beer.  I swear he pitched in the old Park league for Cozy Cafe. He should have stayed and finished his beer.

Sawamura left a mess. Now Strahm's getting ready to walk in runs just like Seattle did. Four straight balls. Can no one in the BP throw a strike?

Story again!! Whatever he ate for lunch today he needs to have every day.

Sox with a win despite giving up 6 runs. Story gets the game ball and all the credit here. Hell of a night.

Trevor was certainly the STORY of the night!
WOW!
3 home runs - 7 RBIs AND scored a run - He was part of 8 runs!
WOW!

Down 4 runs in the second inning, then STORY exploded with offense.

Most of the hitters came out swinging tonight and it was a joy to watch, but we have relievers like Brasier, Sawamura, Barnes and Robles that need to find employment elsewhere because they will ruin any comeback this team might make.   But 12 runs and 16 hits sure felt good.  Now keep it up and let's win this series.
