Brewer gets touched up for three homers and can't get out of the 5th.  Moreland goes deep to breakup the shutout.  4-1.

On a happy note -
The Yankees lost a doubleheader to the Braves,
and have now lost 5 in a row.

Brewer, Weber and Brice all got he shit beat out of them tonight and I ask why are these bums still on the team.  Bring up more kids and get these shits out of t hat uniform and out of Boston.  Brewer gave up four runs, and five hits in 3.2 innings while Weber once again sucked  getting torched for three runs, three hits in 2.2 innings and the immortal Brice was canned for two runs in two thirds of an inning.  Is  Roeniecke even dumber and more lame than I thought.  He needs to get these guys out quicker and Bloom needs to send these guys packing.

The only salvation for the Sox is getting out of the lux tax level albatross, if they can play the required.number of games this weekend.  Management seems to have no other function with this team.  This has been a year I'll want to forget, for many life experiences.

It's interesting that the Yankees have 6 more wins than the Sox but 7 of those wins are against the Sox.  Against the rest of the league the Yankees are 9-11.  The Sox are 10-14 against the rest of the teams.

I think Boone is way ahead of RR as a manager.  Cora was a better match for Boone imo.

RR seems totally lost.  Part of it is the team he has, but he's not part of the solution for sure.

Frankly, I think Roenicke knows he's a gone goose after this season and most likely will never get a managing job again.  Most likely he will end up as a coach, perhaps with his old team, the Dodgers where he was once a prized minor league prospect.  However, you are right Ted.  First of all he does seem totally lost.  He leaves pitchers in to get clobbered and then makes a change, not that what he has after wards is much better.  He does not have a good team, no leadership at all on the field and a team that seems to have thrown in the towel.  BUT,he adds nothing to the team and is not part of any solution.   Tie a tin can to him at season's end and send him on his not so merry way.
