Casas in the lineup!
Not sure why Franchy is though.
Boom! Story with a 3-run dinger. Sox suddenly up 4-2.
With Wincky you just never know. Kind of uneven through 4, giving 2 runs on 3 hits, 3 bb, 3 Ks. He does have a 5-2 cushion.
Would like to see the bats come alive again. No runs since the 2nd inning. They've had their chances, though.
In the 5th Story knocks out their pitcher with a double. Tough luck for Cases as they bring in a lefty, but he gets an infield hit. Ref then GIDP.
Yet another GIDP. Raffy this time.
Geez, Verdugo K's on a ball in the dirt. Would have been ball 4. More blown chances. They may sweep here, but they're going to get their butts kicked in the next series if they can't do better at the plate than they're doing today.
Nice sweep. Hard to beat any team 4 straight unless it's 2004 all over again. Casas looked ok. Let's see what he can do the rest of the year. Didn't look lost at least.
Too bad the Sox can't play the Rangers all September!
Good 4 game sweep!
Now let's see how they shape up against the Rays who made life miserable for the Yankees this past weekend, winning three of four from them. We need to at least hold our own against them and see if we can at least have a solid September to try and bank some confidence for the off season and into 2023.
