There are some inklings that JD (back) will play today. We need a break from the AAA lineup. With a week to go before the Trade Deadline Buster Olney thinks JD will be among the Sox first trades, like for a valuable DH.
JDM is back, but they managed to replace JBJ with Jaylin Davis and his .179 career average. You'd think it was hard to find guys these bad, but Bloom knows where to get them! Lineup was a bit late so wonder if they got a sucker to take JBJ.
Sox down 5-0 in the 3rd. Not looking good.
Cleve is playing long ball. Sadly our big guy is on the IL.
One more run in. Bases loaded, one out. Please avoid a GIDP.
Bullshit call at home. Xander was safe. WTF good are replays when they screw them up that badly?

Thought he was safe.
Well they didn’t ground into a double play, they ran into one. Not sure why they sent Bogey there, but the replay was about as clear as possible that he was safe. I haven’t seen them blow one that badly in a while.
Ugh, Keystone Kops play allows 2 more runs.
O's just beat the Rays again. Sox lose here and they'll own the cellar.
How does Plewecki miss that pitch. These guys are horrible
Horribly called game. This ump sux and that play where Xander was safe...
WHO is the heck are some of the players on this Red Sox team????????
Frustrating . . .
Back to the cellar. Even Baltimore can hold their own against ALE teams. But not the Sox.

Bloom is trying to see if he can set the record.for most guys he can play in a year.
Just throwing AAA players against the Green Monster to see if any will stick.
At other venues, Jays have now won seven straight after firing their manager, as elk pointed out. Sometimes new faces can turn the trick. Who will depart first, Cora or Bloom or a lot of the fans at Fenway?
I would fire Cora on general principles. But that is not enough. The Red Sox need a complete rethink on their approach towards hitting, pitching, defense and physical conditioning. They need a VP for Baseball Ops capable of seeing that through. I do not believe Bloom is that person.

That's the real problem. They guy that's supposed to staff the team fully doesn't do the job and the guy who manages what he has can't get at least get them to play at a AAA level. It's hard to see where this team goes both short and long term as they've managed to pretty much screw up the organization top to bottom.

Add personnel management approach to the otherwise perfect list.
