Kutter Crawford seems to have found himself in his last few outings with an improved curve ball that has stymied hitters, but can our snoozing hitters give him enough support so that we can at least salvage one game in this dreary four game series for our team.  I'll be asking myself that question up until and most likely till the game is well underway.  It would also help to get stiffs like Bradley and Dalbec out of the lineup and keep Frenchy as far away from first base defensively as we can imagine.  Right now we suck; can we at least start making an effort to stop leaving runners on base (Bogaerts), to stop making stupid running mistakes on the bases (Vazquez), and stop looking like worthless shits at the plate (most likely not with Bradley and Dalbec most likely back in the lineup failing again and again).  Bluntly speaking, we stand a good chance of finishing in last place for the fifth time in 11 years, a disgraceful record for a big market team.  Does our team even have the guts and pride to go out there are start kicking some ass again?  The jury is close to reaching a verdict and right now I don't like the possible decision.  Well, I got my Thursday rant in.

They get in these slides and I don't even want to watch them.  But then I do anyhow.  Hope springs eternal.

Franchy and JBJ in at 1B and CF.  Fred won't be happy.  But at least Dalbec isn't in - but he will be at some point to make sure he keeps his K count up.

Dalbec, JBJ, Story and Cordero all have more strike outs than hits.  IMO their failure to put the ball in play and make productive outs is as big a factor as a dysfunctional bull pen in their overall poor play.

The last one right there was pathetic. Swings at a ball in the dirt and looks at strike 3 over the plate.

Once again Dalbec waves at a pitch out of the strike zone for his 75th K of the year.  Bobby strikes out once every three at bats

They could very well be in the basement by the ASB. If thats the case, then it's time for a garage sale.

After the game Jim Rice was beside himself at the batters' approach.  "Stop undercutting the ball, put the ball in play, and hit it where it is pitched." Like Mongo says, they are pressing, and maybe Cora has lost his passion, wants to move on with 5-6 core players at the end of their contracts.

He was furious. Although I kept waiting for Youk to call down to the dugout as he had diagnosed their problem earlier in the game.

Sox came to TB in 1st place in the WC and left outside of the WC teams.

Virtually every Sox batter was swinging from his heels.  There are about 3 or 4 hitters in every lineup that Cora puts out that have no business being there.  Plewieki, Dalbec, Cordero and JBJ come readily to mind.

What drives me crazy is that this guy kept throwing the cutter that was very hittable but everyone was sitting on a high fastball and got completely fooled by anything else.  Those guys in particular it doesn't matter who pitches and they need to have at least 2 of them in every single night.  Seems a shame though because Plawecki hit much better last year and Franchy showed surprising plate discipline early in the year so they could probably hit somewhere with the right coaching, but this team doesn't look like a team that's scouting pitchers and developing (and sticking to) a game plan.  JBJ and Dalbec simply have no business in an MLB lineup.

Saw an article with all sorts of ridiculous suggestions for Sox trades for ex Sox players.  Almost all were pitchers (like Perez, even though he's pitched well in Texas, I can't imagine putting that slop out against the the AL East.)  But the last one was Jed Lowrie who would be a huge upgrade at 1B for likely little cost.

He's reverting back to the Frenchy Fry we k new last season when he literally brought a reeking stink to the plate each time he came up there.  Remember, he failed in with two other teams, the Royals and Padres so a skunk does not lose its odor; just masks it for a short time.  However, people have become numb to having Bradley around, knowing that he is a favorite of  the owner and some in the front office.  The guy simply is as bad a hitter as there is in baseball and we have him replacing Hunter Renfroe, a 30-homer, 100 RBI contributer last season.  Shitbradley has, what, one home run?   Don't also forget, that French Fry replaced Andrew Benintendi  who is hitting a cool 319 for the Royals.  Replacing two solid hi tters with two dogshits isn't going to cut it and I keep wondering what we have to do to finally rid ourselves of Bradley, the worst hitter in baseball last year with his pathetic 163 average.  What's he hitting now, about 205?

DAMN!

WHAT the F^^K has happened to this team???????

When you trade a 30 homer, 100 RBI power hitter like Hunter Renfroe for a piece of shit like Bradcrudley, you have at least one good answer.  When you trade Andrew Benintendi for a bum like French Fry you have another answer.  The RedSox front office is like a Fifth Column in Fenway Park.

And we got Winchowski as a part of the Franchy/Beni trade.  We still came up on the short end.  At least the Yanks did not trade for Beni, they picked up Wade from the Halos this week.

My gripe with the Franchy thing that he is NOT an infielder He cost us way too much. If he was a big stick, fine. Do the math and see if it balances out. Dalbe has his own major issues, but at least he can play the position most of the time.
