Sox gifted 2 walks and a wild pitch in the 8th to place men on 2nd and 3rd with one out and do nothing with it.

markj

Brice with 2 HBP in one inning. Do I detect a control issue here?

markj

And now a walk to load the bases. Good thing the Sox have a 7 run lead. Brice is useless.

WTF is Brice doing on a major league team? He loads the bases with HBPs and and walk, then gets some help with a muffed play by Vazquez who's now playing at 1B, so 2 runs score. Now 11-6. Cora finally yanks Brice.

The radio guts thought Brice really stirred up the ire of the O's throwing up their batters.  Hope we don't see any bravado  today.

Lot of slop among our relievers other than Barnes and Whitlock up until the other day with the dinger.  But the key to this team is getting production out of those non-productive guys.  It seems that we get good production among the 2-6 spot if they play it right (basically Verdugo, JDM, Bogey, Devers and Vazquez) on a nightly basis and of course you're going to have some nights where the hits don't line up.  But when you get a 3R HR out of Dalbec, or Renfroe and/or Cordero actually get a couple of hits between them they end up doing something and rallies don't die.

I'm a little concerned that the starting pitching seems to have tapered off but overall hitters are probably (hopefully for baseball's sake) catching up with the pitchers.

Memo to Bloom, DFA Brice.

This guy stinks to high heaven.  He was a total bum last season and why he is back either means our farm system is totally devoid of anything resembling pitching or Brice has an angel in the front office. The team needs to send this guy away quickly.  He stinks!!!!!
