Verdugo had a great night last night, why the heck sit him? Of course it's to make playing time for Schwarber since you can't take Dalbec out of the lineup. Maybe Schwarber should start taking balls at second base? :o
O’s strike first like they did last night. 2-0.
Dalbec and Raffy with th offense in the Sox 1st. 3-3 ballgame in the 3rd.
Not a great outing for Pivetta. 3.2 innings, 3ER, and 68 pitches. Sox better score a lot more runs.
Neither pitcher could throw effectively for a while there. Hopefully the Sox can keep the bats rolling.
Indians are beating up on the Yankees.
Bogey gets a go ahead single in the 6th. 4-3 in a tight one.
Renfroe drives in another run. Now 5-3 with runners on 1st and 3rd.
Xander with a 3-run dinger. Now 8-3. Great game for Xander.
Houck has answered the bell today from the bullpen. Gone two clean innings with 2 K's. He could be in line for the win I guess, and I believe would be his first of the year.
There goes Speier jinxing the BP again.
Another easy win. Sox with 33 runs scored in the last 4 games.
Yankees lose. Sox now with a 1.5 game lead in the WC, although the Jays are currently winning, so that may change.

Woo hoo!!!
This is the strangest season I think I've seen, last year's gift of baseball notwithstanding.
Jinx avoidance time. If you were a mythical baseball team - call us the "Mudville Nine". Who would you not want to play the most in one gamer? Assume each has it's hottest pitcher lined up for you. Jays, Sox, Yanks, A's or Mariners?
I guess Bogey and Raffy heard me!

Jays won their game. Also Oakland has reentered the picture, only 3 games back. The Jays won their game last night (1 back?) But Jays have a tough road ahead. Finish with series against both Yanks and Rays. Plus Rays will toughen up, as they must keep ahead of Houston for best record and home field. Incidentally, the winner of the AL WIld Card game would have to play in Tampa for the ALDS. if Im reading it right.

I think that's the case. Basically the next three weeks or so are the AL East playoffs and Tampa Bay has a bye to the final series.
