Back home where we seem to have learned how to win there again, we face New York who is still very deep in the race, and they have done better even with some of their men out of action because of Covid testing. Whatever it takes we have to prevail this wekend and then the next week against TB and the Blue Jays. I also hear those rumors about Anthony Rizzo which I take to mean it is a two month rental. But if what we're giving up is what I just read recently it is a trade I would make very quickly if the rumor really has legs. I like Anthony better than Santana and some of the other names I've heard. We'll soon see if this is real or a lot of smoke.
I did see that Franchy was called up for some reason. I guess it's appropriate he replaces Santana in the "sucky veteran" spot on the roster.
I guess that DURAN can't hit lefty's ???? Play the KID , now grasshopper !!!! iono iono iono rofl rofl rofl rofl
Dalbec K's on a ball that bounced off the plate. The kid will swing at anything.
Sox need to figure out how to string a couple of hits together and get a run or two. Time is running out.
Enough with these pathetic infield hits. Grrr.
Finally! A ball into the outfield.
Sox tie it up and then blow a chance to load the bases on stupid base running.

YUP.
When Alex ran home to tie the game, Dalbec SHOULD have gone to third
and then the Devers single would have scored him.
Instead - tie game.
AND DANG IT - the Rays came back to beat the Indians.
Verdugo with a dumb error in left. As if things weren't looking bad enough.
Feel sick.
The Sox seem doomed to lose this game.
Yankees 3 - Sox 1 in the top of the 9th inning.
AND the Rays beat the Indians.
CRAP.
The Yankees bullpen is weak AND we can't score.
DAMN
I feel sick . . .
Kiki ties it up, but again, they just can't finish the job.
At least the Sox know how to take advantage of pitchers who have very bad nights. They somehow managed to pull a win out of the jaws of defeat.

SHAKING!
AND delighted to eat crow.
SOX did get to the Yankees weak bullpen.
Sox 5 - Yankees 4
I am still shaking.
I went nearly catatonic watching this game. It was almost like we were destined to lose, and even when we got back in the game we couldn't put it away until the Yankees did it for us. After a night of the shakes I'll take it because it was a win and it was against the Yankees, but hear of the Rays coming back in the late innings to win another game and then getting slugger Cruz in a trade. What happened to those rumors about Anthony Rizzo. Was it all smoke? We need to trade for this veteran who has power, gets on base, plays great defense and could be the leader we need on the club. Time to make this happen in my opinion.

NOW GRASSHOPPER !!!!!!! thumb_u thumb_u rofl rofl....... OH YES , GREAT FINISH LAST NIGHT !!!
That was interesting to say the least. A one hour rain delay, a couple of comebacks. Two runs scored without a hit in the 10th. Wow.
Someone mentioned Dalbec and swinging at stuff in the dirt. Chavis is about the same. Do these guys watch tape of these pitchers?
Mongtomery pitched well and kept the Sox off balance. I was shocked when he came back at out and he was still doing well.
I'm guessing Chapman must have not been available or did Boone try to get cute since we hammer him?
Fred, Rizzo rumors are just that. People putting two and two together and getting 5. Sounded intriguing though with the three guys being taken out of games then night before.
I fell asleep during the 9th inning Kike at bat. Somehow I knew we won, but don't remember anything or even how I knew. Man, I missed one great big NY implosion.

Right Mongo but you were still thrilled when you found out the fin al outcome for certain. A Red Sox win over the Yankees should be a measure of joy for all Boston fans any time it happens.

Without a doubt!
Even better when certain national broadcast teams whine about it for 9 innings. That's just greed speaking, though.
