Pivetta and Houck and two good starts in succession.  Would be a dandy if we can make it three good starts in a row and another win to go with it.  Let's see if we can get on a nice streak; after all, the Rays took our measure in our ball park so let's do it to them in theirs.

Two games in a row that the pitching and offense both showed up.

The good Sox today. Big bombs by Raffy I and Raffy II.  Houck is untouchable so far.   Keep it up.

The Sox finally found a team in the Cards, who are about as bad fielding and throwing balls.  Some interesting ball placement by Cooper, who had some nice balls down around 3rd base.  O'Neill had a good series in St Lou.  Pivetta was untouchable and is a keeper for Boston. 

A tough thing that Sox could not protect Ryan Fernandez on the 40 man.  Bloom, who is now with the Cardinals, remembered that guy and got him in the Rule 5.  Ryan can throw some heat.

Well I guess the baseball weekend wasn't a complete fiasco since we not only finally won a game but made it a laugher so our stomachs weren't jumping from one inning to the next.  I was really pleased with Pivetta's six innings of one hit, one run ball.  That was encouraging but the team needs to go on a win streak of say eight of ten games to right the ship and who knows if they can pull it off.  But for one day we all go to bed happy tonight.

They should all be that easy.
