Preseason vs Northeastern

I popped on the TV for a moment.  Not much of interest.  Number 89 was on second while 80 was up.  He hit it to SS who fumbled it so runner advanced.  87 came up and grounded out but advanced the runner to 2b.  Then it was 77 who hit it weakly but the 2B made a bad throw to first for an error and the run scored.  67 was up next and walked.  Sox up 7-2 with a bunch of guys you've never heard of against a Northeastern team that looks horrid.

But hey, it's baseball!

My major take away from today's game is for NESN to ditch O'BRIEN and keep Caron.

Some legacy in that game.  Nephew of Whitey Ford is a pitcher on the NEU team.  Contreras has some pop.  Should solidity the OF depth in AAA.
