Need a good outing by Nate. And our old pal E-Rod is on the mound for the Tiggers.

longgame

Another day game.

Gotta hope E-Rod is in typical form - will throw a lot of balls and be pulled early.

longgame

Interesting stat for the season so far:

Devers, Verdugo, Bogaerts, and Martinez have combined for 20 hits thus far, the rest of the roster is 5 for 79.

longgame

Bogey with the day off, Arroyo at SS.  Story takes Bogey's spot in the lineup.

elktonnick

Typical ERod.  He can not handle adversity.  One bad play behind him and he falls apart.

Sea Dog 23

Sheesh.  Had no idea another day game.  Kike' is on a tear after his 0-19 slump.  Even JBJ is stroking it today.  Sox with a crooked number in the 4th.  Good things come to those who are patient, at least this week.

longgame

I was out doing some things and completely forgot about the game until I was almost back home.  7-2 in the 6th the last I checked.

Hernandez and JBJ are both very streaky hitters but when the 9 and 1 spots hit things happen.

Sea Dog 23

Eovaldi pitched 5.  Barnes has a clean inning for a change, but Davis was awful in the 7th with a couple runs, 3 hits and walking a batter.   Kutter bailed him out.  Sox up 9-4 in the 8th.

Sea Dog 23

Well, Kutter made a mess of things in the 8th, touched up for 3 runs.  Diekman almost gets out of it, but gives up a hit.  Finally Robles gets out of the jam with the bases loaded.  Now 9-7.

Thought they were going to blow it there for a bit., Who would have thought Robles would be the knight in shining armor today.

Sea Dog 23

Robles stays in and pitches a clean 9th for the save.  9-7 Sox.

longgame

Still some work needed on this bullpen!  Good thing the bats came alive earlier.

Well markj, who the hell would have thought that Jackie Bradley would be the difference between a win and a loss today.  He finally had a good game, two hits, three RBI's in a game we won by only two runs.  Thanks Davis and Kutter for almost blowing it for us like the two shitty relievers they are.  Well I have to give kuddos to Bradley for at least having a rare good game at the plate and we needed it because it could have ruined his day, those who had good days at the plate and our pit chers who did their job.  Let's hope that Cora soon learns that guys like Davis and Kutter have in a short time proven they can't be counted on when the chips are down, so let's see if Cora keeps calling on them or begins the process of eliminating the dog shits of our bullpen either sending them down, DFAing them until no one claims them and they're brought back to shit the bed some more, or, hopefully to ride them out of town on a rail.
