Sea Dog 23

A tired bunch of tired Sox with the quick turnaround.  Somebody named Manning is pitching a no-hitter through 4.

Sea Dog 23

JDM got the Sox on the board with a bomb in the 5th .  1-1.

Meatball Matt makes an appearance. Gives up a double to Miggy. (Should have been a single, but JBJ tried to make a diving catch and missed.)

Braiser does what Braiser does best.  In all fairness,  the Sox got in at 4 am.  This should have been an off day.  The hitters look like they have lead in their bats.

I didn't know it was an early game until the missus got home and wondered why I wasn't watching.

Damn, that pitch was up near his shoulders. So much for the waste pitch.

Hard to win with one run. Maybe they'll be more awake tomorrow.

longgame

Just like last year, the offense disappears as a group for a few days.  It's like the last two games of the ALCS again.  Nobody hit yesterday, but the Sox can't keep having no hits from the lead off spot and the 7, 8 and 9 positions.  We knew JBJ couldn't hit, there's no reason to have Shaw play in the same game unless you just don't wan't to even try to win.  These guys are bums.  The rest of the team needs to heat up.  No hits in the leadoff spot yet this year.
