Apparently this game is not on NESN. It's on You Tube only from what I understand.  Kind of strange to me.

AND the Red Sox SWEEP the Rays today!
Red Sox 9 - Rays 2.

Eovaldi pitches well!
7 innings, 1 run

Christian Vasquez 2 run homer
JD Martinez 2 run double
AND defensive mishaps by the Rays
help add to a 6 run 5th inning.

Fun game to watch.

Feeling better after starting the season 0 -3 against the Orioles.

The question is which Red Sox team is the real one, the fraud we saw against the Orioles or the team that took the mewasure of the Rays three straight?  Probably somewhere in between maybe. At least we get a chance to give the Orioles a taste of what we endured from them on our home field.  If the team has any courage, guts and drive at all, they will remember what transpired last weekend and make amends for it by winning the series.  Let's hope.

This series we rolled the dice and got good starts from Pivetta and Nathan.  Perez was adequate.  But I think it's dicey to get too much ahead with this Sox team.  The batters were fortunate that Tampa got an awful start from Waccha,  and Yarbrough faded in the 5th in game 3.  Glasnow was sharp this series. Also ironic that Ray's trotted out some failures from the 2020 Sox bullpen in Springs and Mazza.

I would hang my hat on the middle game.  Glasnow is an elite arm, and we will see more like him against Jays and Yanks.  The fielding IMO has improved somewhat over the O's series, which is promising.

The Orioles beat the Yankees 4 - 3 in
the 11th inning.

Red Sox, Yankees, Toronto
are all tied at with 3 wins and 3 losses.

Nice blowout.  Funny game where you can lose three in a row to the O's and then go sweep the Rays.  It was fun to remind my son that 20 years ago he use to ask why we can't play the Rays every game!

So far we've seen decent bullpen pitching which was for sure the weakness of this team.  But they haven't had much in the way of pressure either.  Let's see what they show on the road.

Glad to know we're all taking a wait and see attitude on our team.  Frankly i HAVE NO CLUE JUST WHAT KIND OF TEAM WE HAVE.  I think I'm in good company on that.
